Pumpkin Warts

I can honestly say that I've never chosen a pumpkin because it was ugly or quirky or non-traditional. I've always chosen a pumpkin because it was a nice color, size or shape. Sometimes the color, size and shape decision was influenced by the fact that I was going to carve it or paint it, but usually not. I just see the pumpkin that looks "good" and that's the one that comes home. Sort of like the Christmas tree that looks good on the lot but once at home, you realize it doesn't fit the house or the stand or any of your actual Christmas tree needs.
